Transcript of Gavin playing with a box before bed this evening:
I’m going to close this box because I don’t want raccoons, or deer, or ducks, or squirrels, or monkeys, or George, or animals, or any stuff going in there!
I have to close this box because I don’t want animals or ducks or squirrels getting in there, so I have to close it every night when I go to sleep. I close the box… and that is going to keep it nice and warm.
You say, “A big man is carrying this box!” (Gav likes to direct our roles in his games)
I’m going to build a big building with this box and… Mummy’s bag. And it’s going to be cool. Let’s make a fort! Let’s make a fort together Daddy!
I’ve got a box and this is going to make… I need my step to carry this box up the big ladder, because I have to put this big box somewhere on the ladder. I just need to put this box somewhere. On the table? I just have to get my ladder. Where is my step? Oh, there it is. I got that big box that I need to put up as a decoration. And then I have to put it on top of the roof.
We then made a fort with stools and a tablecloth, and the box had to go up on the roof as decoration.
Hahah……. Sounds like a fun game 🙂
how creative…to find such amusement with a box…the sign of a very bright, imaginative and “normal” toddler…big hugs to you all!
This is so cute. Can’t wait for our next ice cream date. xxoo
So much fun to be reading this!!!! xoxox
